Spring and autumn: the sweet spots
March to May and September to November bring warm days, cool evenings, and the most comfortable conditions for Petra and desert nights. These are peak months, so book stays early.
Late March and October are our favourite windows — great weather without the absolute height of the crowds.
Summer: hot but rewarding
June to August is hot, especially in the south, but early starts, the Red Sea at Aqaba, and quieter sites make it workable — and prices can be softer.
We plan summer itineraries around dawn visits and afternoon rest to keep you comfortable.
Winter: quiet and atmospheric
December to February is cool, occasionally rainy, and beautifully uncrowded. Petra in low season has a special stillness, and the Dead Sea stays pleasant year-round.
Pack layers and a waterproof, and expect chilly desert nights.
